Trong tiếng Việt còn có:

con mắt (an eye)     con đường (a street)   con tem (stamp)

con tàu (ship)          con thuyền (boat)       

Con is used as classifier for the above nouns because they can move / be moved / have moving things on them (vehicles move on the streets.  Postage stamps can be moved from one place to another after they are affixed to the mailed envelopes.
