This edition of Let's Speak Vietnamese features the same content and format as those of the 4th edition. We corrected typos and errors and made minor changes in the instructions for some activities to make them easier for the students to follow and complete. We also added a role play in Chapter 10, new vocabulary, and related learning activities at the end of Chapter 6 to accommodate recent dramatic societal changes.
Let’s Speak Vietnamese - 5th Edition continues to have many carefully sequenced communicative activities and integrated speaking, writing, reading, and listening practices. The focus is on building the skills needed for everyday communication and developing cultural awareness, understanding, and appreciation of Vietnamese culture.

The content of this edition is the same as that of the 3rd edition. We corrected typos and errors and have added some grammar based oral practices in certain chapters. More listening comprehension tasks are added to chapters 4 and 6. We group sixteen main chapters together and put four review chapters after the main chapter section. Therefore, supplemental materials and learning tools available in this web site are the same.
